🀩 Meet Your New AI Analyst: Executive Summary Is Here!

From AI that thinks like a social media strategist to metrics' changes, here's what's fresh this month. πŸ’ͺ

1. Executive Summary

Remember when you had to spend hours figuring out what your data meant? πŸ€” Those days are GONE because this new addition reveals key patterns in metrics and tells the story behind the data:

  • Get instant AI-powered analysis across ALL your social metrics

  • Receive actionable recommendations tailored to your brand's performance

  • Skip the data-crunching and jump straight to strategic decisions

  • Understand complex trends through clear narrative summaries

  • Customize insights based on your profile type and industry

This Executive Summary provides AI-powered analysis of social media metrics and actionable recommendations across multiple app sections. It consists of a narrative summary highlighting key metrics and a distinct recommendations/ observations section, with contextual variants based on profile type and available data.

Pro Tip: Use the Executive Summary before client meetings to quickly spot major wins and opportunities. It's a brilliant addition to your reports, presentations, and pitches! πŸ€“

2. Instagram Metrics Deprecation

The time has come 😌 Your Instagram impressions will no longer be available in the dashboard, and there’s a reason for that. Yeah, the reason is Meta indeed.

Here’s what’s changing:

  • Impressions β†’ Views: Complete replacement for all content types

    • Impressions: Counted how many times posts appeared on screen

    • Views: Count how many times content is played or displayed, including repeat views

  • Reels: Views will track each time a reel is played; replays will no longer be tracked separately

  • Profile Actions: All being removed (profile visits, website clicks, email contacts, etc.)

Currently, a 'deprecation' notice is displayed in the Impressions section. This will soon be replaced with the Views section, where your data will be accessible. πŸ“ˆ

The most requested feature ever is finally here! πŸ’–

While you've been crushing your Q1 goals, our team has been working hard to deliver some seriously game-changing improvements to your analytics toolkit.

🚨 Spoiler alert: The most requested feature is here!

1. Additional Profiles

Treat yourself with additional profiles 🀩

This self-serve system will provide more flexibility and autonomy to our users, streamlining their account management experience while reducing friction in their workflow.

By implementing this solution, we’re empowering users with greater control over their account settings and subscription options.

  • Easier way of interacting with the app when users need to expand their capabilities or adjust their profile allocation

  • Complete autonomy in account management, allowing users to make immediate adjustments to their profile settings without requiring intervention from support teams

You can fully manage your subscription and add-ons from your account.

2. Estimated Followers for the Past

Say 'goodbye' to data gaps πŸ‘‹

This is the most requested feature ever β€” you asked, and we listened.

Due to social media API limitations, we can't show users their historical follower data before they start using our tool. This creates a gap in understanding their account's growth trajectory and limits the insights they can gain from our analytics.

So, missing historical followers data? Problem solved βœ…

  • Automatically see the estimated followers data for the past

  • Easily identify growth trends with visual dashed-line indicators

  • Compare estimated versus actual followers for deeper insights

  • Make more informed strategy decisions with complete timelines

We now provide the estimated number of followers for the past. If there is no data (due to API limitations), the estimated followers will appear by default in the line chart.

The dashed line shows the estimated data. From the day the profile is added to Socialinsider, we start gathering the count of followers. The numbers for the past dates are estimated.

3. Instagram Deprecation

A new month, a new reminder that Instagram has deprecated several metrics from its API, limiting data accessibility for users and third-party platforms.

πŸ’‘Meta’s decision impacts all partners that rely on the affected APIs, including Socialinsider and all our competitors.

Instagram impressions will be replaced by views.

Post-level metrics:

Carousel posts and occasional standard video posts are impacted. Reels remain unaffected.

  • video views

Profile level metrics:

  • email contacts

  • profile views

  • profile email link clicks

  • email link clicks

New

We're excited to unveil our latest feature: Project Industry β€” a game-changing functionality designed to bring unprecedented clarity and focus to your content management process.

What is a Project Industry?

Project Industry is an innovative concept that fundamentally transforms how you organize and analyze your content strategies.

When you create a new project, you'll now assign a specific industry that automatically applies to all profiles within that project. This single, powerful attribute ensures that every element of your project is aligned with a precise industry framework.

How Does It Work?

The system uses a simple, logical approach to assign your project's industry:

  1. First Profile Rules: The industry of the very first profile in your project automatically becomes the project's industry.

  2. Intelligent Fallback: Can't find an industry in the first profile? No worries! The system will look at the next available profile with an industry and use that instead.

  3. Proactive Notifications: In the rare case that no profiles have an industry assigned, you'll receive a helpful notification. This prompt guides you to manually set the industry in the Home section, ensuring no project is left without clear context.

However, you can change the industry at any time. If the industry that was automatically set is incorrect, you can select an industry that best fits your needs.

For your old projects, you can set up the industry yourself. Just go to the Home section and navigate through the β€˜Project Industry’ dropdown. From there, choose the industry that best fits your needs…and your social profiles. πŸ˜‰

You can choose from 39 industries. If you can’t find your industry, please chat with us via Intercom.

Take a look at our article for more in-depth details about this feature.

New

There is a new addition to the Benchmarks dashboard. πŸŽ‰

We're excited to announce a new feature in the Benchmarks dashboard - the Top 3 Content Pillars panel. This panel provides enhanced insights into the top content pillars used by each profile in the selected time period.

The Top 3 Content Pillars panel displays the three primary content themes or categories each profile focuses on in their posts. It shows the number of posts published under each of these top content pillars, giving you a clear view of which topics resonate most with the profile's audience.

There are two types of content pillars:

  1. AI Content Pillars: Automatically generated based on your industry profile, these pillars use artificial intelligence to classify your posts into relevant themes.

  2. Your Content Pillars: Custom categories that you create manually to align with your specific content strategy and business goals.

✨ Some key benefits of this new feature:

  • Comprehensive content performance analysis: Gain a deeper understanding of each profile's content strategy and the specific themes or pillars driving their performance.

  • Competitive benchmarking: Easily compare the top content pillars across different profiles to identify opportunities for differentiation or alignment with industry best practices.

  • Insights for content planning: Use the top content pillar data to inform your content planning and ensure you cover the topics most important to your target audience.

We believe this new addition will provide valuable insights to help you maximize the impact of your content and stay ahead of the competition.

Let us know if you have any questions or feedback as you start using the Top 3 Content Pillars panel.
